Sulawesi Bird Watching: Sulawesi has a total bird count of 350 species, with 4 categories classified: residents 127, endemic 88, migrants 97, and counted as residents or migrants 32. These numbers exclude Sangihe and Talaud, Banggai and Sula islands. Sangihe has 3 endemics, Talaud has 2 endemics, and Banggai has 2 endemics. From the 88 endemic birds of the island, Lore Lindu National Park has the highest number with c. 72, Dumoga Bone 51, and Tangkoko 38 species. Two or three other endemic birds are found in South Sulawesi.

Itenerary Sulawesi Bird Watching:
Day 01:  Palu – City Seightseeing
Upon arrival in Palu, meeting service,transfer to Palu Golden hotel, City sightseeing (if possible). (LD)
Day 02:  Palu – Napu Valley – Besoa Valley
After breakfast we will drive into Lore Lindu National park, stop at Napu valley   for seeing exotic view and several stone megalith statues(ancient of Pekurehua ethnic  group).keep driving slowly to Besoa valley. Still visiting other stone megalith statues on Pokekea complex. Night at a Home stay in Doda village. (BLD)
Day 03:  Besoa Valley Birding
We will start on trekking through dense forest, set up a tent for our camp in the forest. (Note If the clients would still planning at the accommodation, then overnight at the Homestay). (BLD)
Day  04:  Besoa Valley – Napu Valley – Kulawi valley
For the second day trekking through rain-forest and grassland to Napu valley. The transport will pick up us on the main road then heading to Kulawi valley, on the southern side, enjoy exotic rice-field terrace along the way. Night at villager house in Toro village. Here we can learn the History  and Culture of that ethnic group. Handy-crafts, etc. (BLD)
Day 05:  Biding Toro and Its surroundings (Kulawi valley) 
After breakfast, We will start on trekking through primary forest,observing animals of Sulawesi, various tropical plants. Night at in huts or set up the tent near forest, return to the accommodation for overnight. (BLD)
Day 06: Toro – Palu – Donggala
After breakfast, packing stuff drive away back down to Palu, stop for shopping, emailing or do phone calls. The journey continues 30 minutes driving to Donggala, Night at Prince John Dive Resort on Tanjung Karang white sandy beach. Here you have possibility to do snorkeling or diving as extra optional interests. Enjoy fabulous sunset over ocean (if good weather). (BLD)
Day 07: Donggala (Tanjug Karang) – Palu – Manado – Tangkoko
Transfer to the airport for your flight out of Central Sulawesi. We will travel by air to North Sulawesi-Manado(via Makassar) and drive to Tangkoko Nature Reserve. Afternoon birding around the park, at the same time we can see smallest mammal on earth (Tarsius Spectrum) and Black Macaca Nighra (a group of black Sulawesi monkey). Overnight at Losmen Mama Rose – simple accommodation. (BLD)
Day 08 – 09: Tangkoko Birding Days
Two full day to explore the birding in the Tangkoko Nature Reserve and here you will be accompanied by bird-watching guide who has sharp eyes to spot the birds and has talent for birding. (BLD)
Day 10: Tangkoko – Dumoga Bone
After breakfast and direct transfer to Domoga Bone then direct drive (6-7 hours) to Dumoga Bone. Lunch enrooted. Later after arrive in Kosinggolan check-in at Tante Mien homestay – simple accomodation and dinner. (BLD)
Day 11-12: Dumoga Bone Birding
Two full day to explore the birding in the Dumoga Bone and here you will be accompanied by bird-watching guide who has sharp eyes to spot the birds and has talent for birding. (BLD)
Day 13: Kotamobagu – Tomohon
Drive a half hour to Danau Moat then birding in the forest to the summit of Gunung Ambang. Lunch at the local restaurant after lunch continue drive around 5 hours to Tomohon. Late afternoon arrive in Tomohon, check-in a Highland Resort and dinner. (BLD)
Day 14: Tomohon and transfer to Bunaken Island
Birding around Minahasa highlands includes hike up to volcano mountain and visit Lake Tondano and Lake Linow. Lunch at the lokal restaurant. After lunch transfer to Bunaken Island, free program. (BLD)
Day 15: Bunaken Birding
After breakfast full day birding tour will be continued by boat along Siladen and Bunaken Island. After lunch snorkeling trip, you have time to enjoy the most beautiful and colorful coral reef formation as well as thousand species of fish and others marine life. Than back to cottage for dinner and stay overnight. (BLD)
Day 16: Bunaken – Manado City Tour
After breakfast free program until time to transfer to Manado a chek in at Santika Hotel. The week in North Sulawesi will give you inspiration what kind of souvenir will gave you memory that you ever here, your shopping here will be combine with Manado City Tour and close with diner in Kalasey sea food Restaurant. Than back to Hotel Santika for stay overnight.
Day 17: Manado – Next destination
After breakfast and we will transfer you to the airport for your next destination.
